A LETTER FROM THE FILMMAKERS

Welcome! CARMA has been an amazing labor of love for us, and we're thrilled to be sharing it with you.

CARMA touches on several universal themes like retribution, judgement, reality, the supernatural and what really separates them. Early reviews compared Carma the work of Quentin Tarantino, David Lynch, and Alfred Hitchcock. (Trivia: Academy Award Nominee Karen Black, the voice of the mother, was the lead actress of Hitchcock's last film, Family Plot)

We're also excited to establish this relationship directly with you -- an opportunity that the Internet is giving filmmakers for the first time in history.  Every year, hundreds of independent films disappear into DVD oblivion or do not find a distribution deal at all, because some "pundit" did not think the film "worked". We believe that each film is an expression of the filmmakers' internal struggle yearning to be heard, and that the audience should have a chance to decide what works for them.

We'd like to thank FastMovie.TV for creating the technology platform and a unique affiliate program to bring CARMA to its fans. We hope that this is a sign of things to come (it's no surprise that the 2006 Time Magazine Person of the Year is you - the consumer) and that more filmmakers leverage this vehicle to bring out their work.

To quote Picasso, every work of art comes with a dose of ugliness. That ugliness is the creator's struggle to say something new.

We look forward to your support as we take CARMA through this historic Internet release!

Thanks, and don't forget to spread the good Carma!
